PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

 

ADJUNCT TEACHER, SUNY CORTLAND. CORTLAND NY, 13045- 

FALL 2018- SPRING 2019 

I teach intro to sculpture at SUNY Cortland, Last semester we covered replicating natural objects, such as plant life, with bailing wire, cast aluminum reliefs, forging, and wearable sculpture. 

 

SCULPTURE SHOP TECH, SUNY CORTLAND. CORTLAND NY, 13045- 

FALL 2018- CURRENT

 I maintain the facilities and equipment for the fab shop, foundry, and wood shop. This includes cleaning, equipment repairs, machinery repairs, and troubleshooting. I also mix sand, and assist students with ramming and gaiting molds. As well as doing safety and equipment demos for welding, angle grinding and the use of band and chop saws. 

 

MACHINING AND ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN, CHARLES A. HONES INC.

CLEVELAND, NY- 2016-CURRENT

I work on machining and assembling gas heating equipment. I assist in machining raw castings for,

Venturi burners, burner heads, air shutters, nozzles, pipe for ring burners, etc. I assemble high and low

pressure Venturi nozzle burners, radial burners, pipe burners, rectangular burners, soft metal melting

furnaces, and wire Watlow controls.

 

FAB SHOP STUDIO ASSISTANT, ALFRED UNIVERSITY. ALFRED, NY-

2015-2018

I up-keeped the fabrication studio and did small scale repair on equipment. I also worked open studio hours

where students could come in to work; I was on hand to assist them with troubleshooting issues they were

having with their projects or equipment.

 

FOUNDRY STUDIO MONITOR, ALFRED UNIVERSITY. ALFRED, NY-

2017-2018

I worked open foundry hours twice a week to assist fellow students with their work at the foundry, I also

assisted them if they had any issues with equipment or needed a hand troubleshooting their foundry projects.

I was also there to help mix resin bonded sand, move large scale sculpture, and be on hand incase of injury.

SKILLS

Furnace construction and repair, MIG welding, TIG welding, stick welding and torch welding. Burner construction, bronze,

aluminum, and iron pour experience, gas piping, and manifold assembly. I'm proficient in the use of

horizontal and vertical band saws, chop saws, table saws, drill presses, angle grinders, dremels, and die

grinders.

I have good communication skills, I'm good at problem solving and working on several things at a time.

Im hard working, productive, and self motivated.
